Chinese dissident Wei Jingsheng warns of Beijing's nuclear threat

A leading Chinese dissident warns the United States has not paid
enough attention to a growing threat of nuclear war with China.

Wei Jingsheng, who spent 18 years in detention for his pro-democracy
activism, told a forum at the National Press Club in Washington that
China needs the distraction of a war with Taiwan to turn attention
away from the people's frustration with rampant corruption and failed
policies at home, reported the Epoch Times, an independent news
service that focuses on China.

China expert panelists at the forum discussed the implications of the
upcoming U.S. visit of Chinese leader Hu Jintao. Hu was scheduled to
make his first official visit to the White House last Wednesday but
President Bush canceled the visit so he could focus on responding to
Hurricane Katrina.

The two are expected to meet sometime this week in conjunction with
the U.N. summit, which begins Wednesday.

Wei said a number of factors are prompting Beijing to consider
conventional warfare against Taiwan and even nuclear warfare against
the U.S.

He pointed out a treaty with Russia, a traditional enemy, stipulates
that if China invades Taiwan, Moscow will not support the U.S. in its
defense of the island.

As WorldNetDaily reported, China also has conducted joint military
exercises with Russia on the Shandong Peninsula, an area not far from
Taiwan.

The exercises in August were to include launches of intercontinental
ballistic missiles, though officials maintain the maneuvers were
efforts to deal with international terrorism.

Wei said the Chinese Communist Party is considering nuclear war,
because it is not afraid to sacrifice China's people.

He cited Chinese general Zhu Chenghu's recent public declaration that
China would launch nuclear weapons if attacked by the U.S. and that
"we … will prepare ourselves for the destruction of all the cities
east of Xian," which would include Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

The dissident warned Americans not to underestimate the irrational
behavior of the communist leadership.

America's best response to prevent a coming war is to begin taking the
possibility seriously, noting Chinese leaders try to appear to the
world as non-threatening as they plan their next move.

Some panelists said the Communist Party fears for its future, pointing
out the recent resignation of 4 million party members.

The Epoch Times said its nine-part editorial series on the party,
published last November, is partly responsible for the mass
resignations.

Some panelists tried to dispel the image of China as an emerging
nation contributing to peace and prosperity in the world.

Dr. John Li, senior research fellow at the Association for Asian
Research, said the U.S. enjoys an "equilibrium" status with China that
gives Americans cheap labor while the totalitarian state gets
investment dollars and the assurance of "no regime change."

But the U.S. cannot avoid the fact the Chinese have "never wavered in
their belief that America is their No. 1 enemy," Li said.

The scholar believes the U.S. should distinguish its true friends from
its foes and treat China as an adversary with a regime that opposes

America is sleeping, dreaming images of a pleasant, peaceful China,
all the panelists agreed.

Panelist Frank Gong said the Communist Party knows that if it allows
political liberty and freedom of speech, its past crimes – including

JERUSALEM – Hamas will begin the next phase of its war to destroy the Jewish state by launching Qassam rockets at Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and West Bank communities instead of focusing on suicide bombings, the terror group explained on its website. Hamas and Islamic Jihad have been launching an average of three rockets or mortars per day at Gush Katif, the largest area of Jewish communities in Gaza scheduled for evacuation Aug. 15. The Israeli army has done little to stop the rocket attacks.

Now Hamas has published an article on its website stating it will extend its Qassam manufacturing and firing capabilities to the West Bank. It warned it will launch a rocket onslaught against Israeli cities, including Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, until the Jewish state is destroyed.

"Should the Zionist army partially withdraw from the cities of the West Bank ... Afula, Hadera, Beit She'an, Netanya, Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem and other cities will all fall within the range of the Qassam rocket. ... The implication is that this rocket, which was previously looked upon with disdain by many, will serve as the weapon of choice in the coming period of time, as the acts of suicide martyrdom served as the weapon of choice during all the previous years," stated the Hamas article, translated by the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center at the Center for Special Studies in Israel.

Bush warns Iran on nuclear plans
US President George W Bush says he still has not ruled out the option of using force against Iran, after it resumed work on its nuclear programme.
He said he was working on a diplomatic solution, but was sceptical that one could be found.

The UN's atomic watchdog has called on Iran to halt nuclear fuel development.

Iran, which denies it is secretly trying to develop nuclear arms, restarted work at its uranium conversion plant at Isfahan on Monday.

"All options are on the table," said Mr Bush, when asked about the possible use of force during an interview for Israeli TV.

Reporter suggests Brynes discovered plan to turn nuke exercise into staged terror attack

The head of Fort Monroe's Training and Doctrine Command, four star general Kevin P. Byrnes, was fired Tuesday apparently for sexual misconduct according to official sources.

Other sources however have offered a different explanation for Byrnes' dismissal which ties in with the Bush administration's unpopular plan to attack Iran and the staged nuclear attack in the US which would provide the pretext to do so.

According to reporter Greg Szymanski, anonymous military sources said that Brynes was the leader of a faction that was preparing to instigate a coup against the neo-con hawks in an attempt to prevent further global conflict.

Indications are that, much like popular opinion amongst the general public, half the military oppose the neo-con's agenda and half support it.

Further revelations were imparted by journalist Leland Lehrman who appeared today on The Alex Jones Show.

Lehrman's army sources, including a former Captain in intelligence, became outraged when they learned that the official story behind 9/11 was impossible.

They told Lehrman that the imminent Northcom nuclear terror exercise based in Charleston, S.C, where a nuclear warhead is smuggled off a ship and detonated, was originally intended to 'go live' - as in the drill would be used as the cover for a real false flag staged attack.

This website has relentlessly discussed similar style drills which took place on the morning of 9/11 and on the morning of 7/7 in London.

"Speculation exists that he had potentially discovered the fact that it was gonna go live and that he was trying to put a stop to it or also speculation indicates that he may be part of a military coup designed to prevent the ridiculous idea of doing a nuclear war with Iran, " said Lehrman.

Lehrman said that other sources had told him all army leave had been cancelled from September 7th onwards, opening the possibility for war to be declared within that time frame.

Earlier this week, Washington Post reported that the Pentagon has developed its first ever war plans for operations within the continental United States, in which terrorist attacks would be used as the justification for imposing martial law on cities, regions or the entire country.

American Conservative Magazine recently reported that Dick Cheney had given orders to immediately invade Iran after the next terror attack in the US, even if there was no evidence Iran was involved.

Government and media mouthpieces have been fearmongering for weeks about how a nuclear attack within the US is imminent.

Now would be the most opportune time for the Globalists to stage a major attack, as it would head off any potential indictments against the Bush administration for their involvement in illegally outing CIA agent Valerie Plame.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- Three men who were seen videotaping the Santa Monica pier in a suspicious manner have been identified and were seen videotaping in other communities, police said Thursday.

All three men were of Middle Eastern descent, NBC4 reported. The men's nationalities had nothing to do with the investigation, police said.

"Ordinarily, when tourists videotape, they don't videotape security structures for an extended period of time," said Santa Monica Police Chief James T. Butts. "They don't focus on access roads, and usually, the tourists themselves are in the photographs to document they were there, and that's not what these photgraphs showed."

The three men were not arrested, police said.

At least one community leader, however, questioned whether or not racial profiling was involved, NBC4 reported.

"That creates this kind of confusion, this kind of fear that if someone is Middle Eastern and filming, does that fall into the category of being suspicious?" Sabiha Khan, of the Council on American Islamic Relations, said. "So, behavior should be profiled, not people."

The investigation began on July 22, when a member of the public who had taken still photographs of the three contacted the Santa Monica Police Department, according to Santa Monica Police Lt. Frank Fabrega.

Butts said the department will take additional steps to increase police visibility throughout the city, by adding more officers, changing deployment locations and limiting access to parts of the pier

Weblogs or "blogs" as they are more commonly referred to, are nothing new. They were made popular by people who wanted to start online journals that published virtually every topic imaginable.
Today, blogs have a much larger attraction. RSS (real simple syndication) has made blogs attractive to business owners because they are an effective way to communicate with customers without email. RSS Readers are beginning to become popular at astounding rates.

When you publish an article on your blog, a sysndicated news feed is downloaded by a special software program (RSS reader) that can immediately update content when it changes on a web site. The ever-growing problems with email making it's way to subscribers has made RSS feeds extremely popular. This trend is only gowing to continue!

To blog or not to blog?

Like I said before, most blogs have their own built in RSS feeds. When you post a new article on your blog, your subscribers can receive the new feed on their RSS readers without email reminders from you. Every time your site is updated, the feeds are also updated.

The cons

A web log, with its straightforward elegance, its honest and reciprocal dialogue, its inexpensiveness (though time is money), has become the next darling of marketing and public relations-a real time, two-way walkie-talkie, a bulletin board of instant feedback.

Don't think so? It's always good to keep an eye on the industry pace setters. When blue chip behemoths begin to recognize the power of the blog, those who were barely aware of its existence begin to sit up and take notice. Earlier this year, Google gave the proverbial pink slip to Mark Jen after he provided a bit too much infomation about life at the search engine company.

But control of sensitive company information is part of professional communication. Added to the overall corporate communication strategy, blogging can become an amazing tool.

In fact, I'd say it will become indispensable as it grows and as audiences become aware. Web logs will become the human face of the machine, the moderator of the conversation. And better, he who starts the conversation, usually gets the first and last word.

So if your company hasn't set up a web log, I have to ask, "What are you waiting for?"

CIA to play cyber terrorist

The CIA is conducting a war game this week to simulate an unprecedented, Sept. 11-like electronic assault against the United States. The three-day exercise, known as "Silent Horizon," is meant to test the ability of government and industry to respond to escalating Internet disruptions over many months, according to participants.

They spoke on condition of anonymity because the CIA asked them not to disclose details of the sensitive exercise taking place in Charlottesville, Va., about two hours southwest of Washington.

The simulated attacks were carried out five years in the future by a fictional new alliance of anti-American organizations that included anti-globalization hackers. The most serious damage was expected to be inflicted in the closing hours of the war game Thursday.

The national security simulation was significant because its premise - a devastating cyberattack that affects government and parts of the economy on the scale of the 2001 suicide hijackings - contradicts assurances by U.S. counterterrorism experts that such effects from a cyberattack are highly unlikely.

"You hear less and less about the digital Pearl Harbor," said Dennis McGrath, who has helped run three similar exercises for the Institute for Security Technology Studies at Dartmouth College. "What people call cyberterrorism, it's just not at the top of the list."

The CIA's little-known Information Operations Center, which evaluates threats to U.S. computer systems from foreign governments, criminal organizations and hackers, was running the war game. About 75 people, mostly from the CIA, along with other current and former U.S. officials, gathered in conference rooms and pretended to react to signs of mock computer attacks.

The government remains most concerned about terrorists using explosions, radiation and biological threats. FBI Director Robert Mueller warned earlier this year that terrorists increasingly are recruiting computer scientists but said most hackers "do not have the resources or motivation to attack the U.S. critical information infrastructures."

The government's most recent intelligence assessment of future threats through the year 2020 said cyberattacks are expected but terrorists "will continue to primarily employ conventional weapons." Authorities have expressed concerns about terrorists combining physical attacks such as bombings with hacker attacks to disrupt rescue efforts, known as hybrid or "swarming" attacks.

"One of the things the intelligence community was accused of was a lack of imagination," said Dorothy Denning of the Naval Postgraduate School, an expert on Internet threats who was invited by the CIA to participate but declined. "You want to think about not just what you think may affect you but about scenarios that might seem unlikely."

An earlier cyberterrorism exercise called "Livewire" for the Homeland Security Department and other federal agencies concluded there were serious questions over government's role during a cyberattack depending on who was identified as the culprit - terrorists, a foreign government or bored teenagers.

It also questioned whether the U.S. government would be able to detect the early stages of such an attack without significant help from private technology companies.

Citrus Crop Projections Unchanged From April

LAKELAND, Fla. -- Projections for Florida's citrus crop appear to have leveled off following months of slippage due to hurricane damage.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's forecasts for oranges and grapefruit, released Thursday, showed no change from the April estimates.
The orange harvest is expected to bring in 151.2 million boxes, the smallest in 13 years. But the projected yield for frozen concentrated orange juice was revised to 1.6 gallons per 90-pound box, up from an estimated 1.58 gallons.
The grapefruit crop of 13 million boxes would be the smallest since the 1935-1936 season.
Florida's $9 billion-a-year citrus industry was devastated by the three hurricanes that ravaged the central portion of the state last year. The storms knocked fruit from the trees, flooded groves and spread canker spores.
The USDA's next forecast is scheduled for a June 10 release.

A Vatican source has disclosed a psychological trauma of John Paul II. The day of the Habemus Papum (We have a Pope!) announcement on April 19, Sullivan denounced the new pontiff as a Grand Inquisitor who had declared a war on modernity and would launch a attack on individual freedom. Yes, the famous commentator who once pretended to be conservative has figured it out: the Catholic Church is now going to be in forthright moral opposition to the modernity of homosexual priests and the individual freedom of molesting young boys. As the Dean of the College of Cardinals and the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Cardinal Ratzinger learned who the homosexuals are in the Vatican and the almost 3,000 dioceses in the world. As Pope Benedict XVI, he will encourage their departure from the priesthood. In his Good Friday homily this year, he condemned thefilth there is in the Church,making it clear he was referring to priest-pedophiles. Yet however much sympathy he has for an individuals struggle with an inclination towards homosexuality, he nonetheless views its practice as an intrinsic moral evil,and will not tolerate its presence in his Church. The hate and vindictiveness of homosexuals such as Sullivan is made most obvious when he declares his wish for a coming civil war within Catholicism brought about by Benedict XVI. Blinded by their prejudices, they do no see there will be noemptying of pews,noaccelerating exodus among American Catholics, as they hope for. Just the opposite. There will be a return to the pews, an accelerating influx, as Pope Benedict XVI returns his Church to traditional morality. Benedict XVI is going to give people what they spiritually hunger for and no longer find in their pews today: a firm place to make their moral stand. This Pope is going to regenerate the moral revival of Christianity to the great benefit of all Christendom, to the great benefit of Western Civilization, and to the great frustration of its enemies.

I was addicted to The X Files and Ive wondered If I ever would be hooked again to another Tv show. Well , after several years it finnally happened. Im hooked on the new series "Revelation"
Ironically , the two man characters are a man Dr Massey and a nun who team up together to solve the unknown mystries of life just like Muldur and Scully did in the X Files only the older was for ETs and conspirecies and the newer is the secret of the end of days apocalypse prophecies. Both series also play on contemporary current events and theories. Also just like X files , you always wonder whether the two stars are going to have a romantic relationship.
Scully and Muldor teased, inticed and left us all high and dry.
Revelation is now 3 weeks deep and I dont think its going to get cut.

I kinda like the tv show "Numbers" but Im not life or death hooked on it like Revelations. I never was a Sit com kind a guy...

There is a new book coming out titled "Brain Trust" written by a PH.d. It is about mad cow disease, alzheimers disease, cattle mutilations, USDA, and hamburgers. Yes, they are all a part of the same scene.
It has been discovered in post mortem autopsies ( CSI CSI CSI!!!) that some alzheimers patients were mis diagnosed. They found evidence of mad cow disease in parts of their brain.
